Welcome to our new Online Prayer Ministry

Prayer is a way for us to connect with God and a for God to connect with us. As we know life is filled with uncertainty, but one thing for certain is the peace and power we find in prayer. At FUMC of Rhinelander we have established a prayer request page. It is a way to support you in prayer.

If you have any prayer concerns please fill out the prayer form. All prayers received by Pastor Mark and Lori Kotarba (Assistant to the Pastor). You can connect with the page on the link below.

October Sermon Series

October 11th to November 1st

What do we do in this season of uncertainty in our society?

How might we become stronger in this season?

How might we become resilient in the face of adversity?

In life, as individuals, in our relationships, as parents?

How can we discover resilience in the promise of love and peace?

Join us as we begin this new sermon series beginning October 11.

October 11th: Cultivating Resilience in the Face of Adversity

James 1:2-4, & 12 - 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Vs. 12-  Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

October 18th: Cultivating Resilience Through Our Relationships

James 2:14-18- 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.  18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

October 25th : Cultivating Resilience Through Joy

Philippians 1:1-5- Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus,

To all God’s holy people in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons[a]:2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.3 I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,

November 1st : Cultivating Resilience Through Shalom

Colossians 3:12-15- 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
